Amaya, a historical fiction drama aired at GMA 7 are gaining positive reviews from critics and viewers alike. It was said that it was the most expensive drama for 2011 considering the set they had made to capture the old Filipino places and dresses and the casts need to study deep Filipino language to portray their characters.
It is also the first historical epic drama in Philippine television and for me the second best done by GMA 7 after my favorite Encantadia. Catch Amaya every night at GMA 7.
The story is about a girl with a twin snake destined to put an end to Rajah Mangubat’s reign of terror. However, in a twist of fate, Amaya and Bagani the Rajah’s son falls in love.
