Eugene and Ki Tae Young for cosmopolitan

I was surprised to see from  Eugene (facebook page) and Ki Tae Young, one of my favorite Korean couples (actor and actresses) whom recently got married with a picture holding a baby.  So, immediately followed the link and search the net for it.  I know many of their fans are very excited for them to have kids ( i guess, it would be as cute and lovable as them) but unfortunately, the baby in the picture is not their baby but a pictorial for well known korean photographer Jo Se Hyun for “The letters from angels exhibition which was initially done ten (10) years ago and each year, well known celebrities poses with babies to promote adoption in Korea.  Shown on this Cosmopolitan December issue includes well known korean couples like Kim Seung Woo and Kim Nam Ju , Tablo and Kang Hye Jung, Ji Chang-Oh Yeon Soo , Kim Ho Jin-Kim Ji Ho, Park Jun Hyung-Kim Ji Hye , Lee Jae Ryong-Yoo Ho Jung ,  Joo Young Hoon-Lee Yoon Mi and the Lee Chun Hee-Jun Hye Jin.

There picture looks really nice and I would love to have this Cosmopolitan issue for my file but i don’t know where to get it.  Should really ask some friends working in Korea.

Baek Ji Young – Love and Love (Arang and The Magistrate OST) with lyrics

November 11, 2012 in Featured Post, Korean Drama, MTV/You tube, Music

Yes, I just can’t get over this songs, this is added on my music lists and I’m definitely going to listen to them over and over again.   Arang and the Magistrate is something you should watch.  A comeback drama series of Lee Joon Gi after serving the military, his handsome and angelic face haunts me and i could not help to think that korean are indeed lucky to have beautiful skin and great features.  Not that i am downgrading our features, it just I can’t help myself to admire them.   (Do watch out for a review on this Kdrama)

Here’s a beautiful OST of Arang and the Magistrate from the Queen of Korean Soul Music itself,  Baek Ji Young.  ( ooh, i just made that up since i really do like her songs)

For a moment, for a short moment,
The fact that I let you go was so hard that tears fell
Because it felt like our love was not allowed

So my heart hurts even more and this love makes me dizzy
You smile in front of me when I feel like dying

How I longed for only you
Finally, finally, can you recognize how I feel?
As much as it can’t be filled with the mere words of “I love you,”
This love has grown bigger than destiny

Loving each other and hating each other -
Why are these common things so hard?
Does our relationship always have to fade away like this?

So my heart hurts even more and this love makes me dizzy
You smile in front of me when I feel like dying

How I longed for only you
Finally, finally, can you recognize how I feel?
As much as it can’t be filled with the mere words of “I love you,”
This love has grown bigger than destiny

We live and carry on under the same sky
We cry and laugh with the same heart
My heart is living inside only you

Love and again, my love
My heart has locked up because it hurt and hurt
Can’t you accept this pitiful heart?
As much as it can’t be filled with the mere words of “I love you,”
This love has grown bigger than destiny

English Translation

The talks we had as we looked at each other
The stories that only we knew
I guess I can’t erase them,
I can’t throw them away,
I can’t forget them
I look around these streets for the first time in a while
Whenever I pass this street, the good memories
They keep floating up in my head so I stop my footsteps

After a long time, I am here right now
Because I long for that time,
Though I tried to live without knowing,
I keep thinking about it
That’s how I am, it keeps coming into my eyes
The times we spent together, the memories -
they fall like stars
How about you?

The people look only happy
It seems like I’m the only one left in loneliness
I try to pretend that I’m not
but I keep thinking of you

After a long time, I am here right now
Because I long for that time,
Though I tried to live without knowing,
I keep thinking about it
That’s how I am, it keeps coming into my eyes
The times we spent together, the memories -
they fall like stars
Tears fall

If I wait here,
will I be able to see you?
Then will I be able to tell you
how I feel right now?

Because I miss you, because I am missing you
That’s how I am, I only know you
Living without you makes me filled
with regret about everything
Because you’re not here,
because there are so many empty things
Again today, I long for that spot and
my footsteps won’t move and I call out to you

That Woman – Baek Ji Young (Secret Garden OST) with english subs

November 11, 2012 in Korean Drama, MTV/You tube, Music

I so love this song from Hyun Bin’s Secret garden and even after two years, this song is still in my phone and when I’m alone i still listen in this song but of course, i do love the songs of Hyun Bin more than anything.

I just love that one woman
I love her wholeheartedly
I follow her around like a shadow everyday
That woman is laughing & crying

Just how much more do I have to
gaze at you alone
This love that came like the wind, this beggar like love
If I continue this way, will you love me?

Just come a little nearer
One step closer but flee with 2 legs
I who love you am next to you now
That woman who comes.

that woman is cautious
that’s why you have to learn to smile
what she can’t tell her best friend
her heart’s full of tears.

that’s why, that woman
when she loved you the same way
yet another fool, yet another fool
can’t you hug me before you go?

i want to receive love
everyday in my heart, just in my heart
i shout and
that woman’s next to me again.

that woman’s not me
its not that she knows
she doesn’t know cause she’s a fool

Just how much more do I have to
gaze at you alone
This love that came like the wind, this beggar like love
If I continue this way, will you love me?

Just come a little nearer
One step closer but flee with 2 legs
I who love you am next to you now
That woman who comes.

Julie Anne San Jose – I’ll Be There (Lie to Me OST) with Lyrics

November 11, 2012 in Korean Drama, MTV/You tube, Music

First time I laid my eyes on someone like you
I can’t forget the hour, that moment with you
Then I have realized, love is growing deep inside
I feel the beating of my heart
Chorus:
Coz’ every day, every night, I keep looking at the skies
And I’ll pray that someday you will wake up in my arms
And love will never end
We belong together, always and forever
Call my name and I’ll be there. . . . .
Spending my days and nights just thinking if you
How you make me wanna smile with the things that you do
When will I hear you say, love is coming on your way
And that you start to feel the same
Coz’ every day, every night, I keep looking at the skies
And I’ll pray that someday you will wake up in my arms
And love will never end
We belong together, always and forever
Call my name and I’ll be there
Chorus 2:
Coz’ every day, every night, I keep looking at the skies
And I’ll pray that someday you will wake up in my arms
Coz’ every day, every night, I keep looking at the skies
And I’ll pray that someday you will wake up in my arms
And love will never end
We belong together, always and forever
Call my name and I’ll be there

Korean Drama – I miss you- Missing you

November 11, 2012 in Drama, Korean Drama, Korean Drama I Love

Yoon Eun Hye is back after doing 2011, The Black Little Dress and the sensational Lie To Me, now she is paired with Korean’s Hearthrob Park Yoo Chun on a romantic melo-dramatic I Miss You, this drama is about a guy and a girl who experienced a painful relationship at their early age of 15 and meet again when they were adult. Hang Jung Woo (Park Yoochun) is a homicide detective and looking for his childhood love Lee So Yeon ( Yoon Eun Hye) who is now a fashion designer who also dreams that her first love was looking for her. Yoo Seung Ho (whom I just watched on Arang and the Magistrate and Operation Proposal) plays a cold-hearted, charismatic fund manager, who tries to take revenge on Han Jung Woo because of the troubled relationship within their family.

I miss you- korean drama

Scheduled to premiere on November 7, 2012, I Miss You replaced Arang and the Magistrate (whom i recently finished watching) and will definitely make YooChun and Eun Hye’s fans very anxious.  When I watched Lie To me and the Rooftop Prince, i thought it’s nice to pair up this two great Korean actor and actress because they show resemblance on different ways, sweet, bubbly and eyes who speaks their emotional feelings and when I have heard that they are finally having this drama, it made me curious because instead of funny and bubbly romantic /comedy drama, Eun Hye is doing something different from her character on Coffee Prince and Princess Hours and Yoonchun’s Sungkyunkwan Scandal and, Rooftop Prince this just show that they are indeed ready for a more serious roles.  I just hope that this one got a good romantic ending not like the other Korean Drama’s I’ve watched were the main lead died or was separated with each other.

Yoon Eun Hye , Park Yoochun and Yoo Seung Ho

I’m not really into heavy drama because it breaks my heart but this is definitely on my lists of Must watch KDrama.

My Secret Love – Sungkyunkwan Scandal Review and Spoiler

October 30, 2012 in Drama, Featured Post, Korean Drama, Korean Drama I Love

Sungkyunkwan scandal – secret love – korean drama

A korean historical fiction romantic drama that will surely makes you smile and forgt your problems for a while.  I find watching Korean drama relaxing and entertaining because there story is not just interesting but something different from the usual drama i used to watch in local channels.

One of the Korean Drama that i so like is 2010  Sungkyunkwan Scandal or locally sub titled as Secret Love starring one of Korean heartthrob and sought actor Park Yuchun (Rooftop Prince, Attic Prince) , beautiful actress Park Min Young ( City Hunter) and another korean actor,  Yoo Ah In (Fashion King).

The story was set on an era where women is not allowed to be educated or working.  A young girl Kim Yoon Hee ( Park Min Young) disguise himself as a man (pretends to be his brother) to work in a world for men alone.  Because of her desire to make their life differently after the death of her father and to give support to her ailing brother.  She works in a local bookstore until she was given a big job to be a substitute test taker  for those who wanted to study at Sungkyunkwan University.  She was accidentally chosen to study in the famous school which was strictly open for boys and unexpectedly paired up in the same room with two boys Lee Sun Joon and Moon Jae Shin whom she had previously encountered in a separate occasion.

sunkyunkwan scandal -secret love review

While on the university, there are some incidents that compromise her disguise but she eventually pulled it through with the help of her room mates.  On the process, she falls in love with the upright Lee Sun Joon and in the same way, Lee Sun Joon felt a different feeling for her with thoughts that she was indeed a man.

In one instance, they were able to uncover the truth on how her father and Moon Jae Shin brother died and the involvement of Lee Sun Joon father that leads to different unexpected events that compromises her status and life with the class president Ha in Soo (Jun Tae Soo) wanting to expel her in the university.

romantic moments in secret love

As the story goes, her disguise was unexpectedly unravel by her room mates and Lee Sun Joon find himself more in love with her and will do things to protect her from people who vows to destroy her reputation and her life even if this takes to defies his own father.  They made an investigation leading to a more revelations with the king sacrificing his own desire to save Kim Yoon He and to cover the truth.

Although, it’s a fiction story, the ending was quite satisfying with both Kim and Lee still working for Sungkyunkwan as a teacher/mentor for new generation of students and would often seen quarreling with their different point of views but the story closes with the scene showing that their love was consummated as they become husband and wife.

What i love with their character is the fact that although it’s a cute romantic drama, it was not over acting and the cat and dog fights scene comes naturally.  The action scene are not overly done and you can see that it is not as brutal as you could imagine.  Although, at first, i don’t see Park Yu Chun and Park Min Young chemistry with each other unlike Park Min Young portraying Kim NAna in City Hunter along side with Lee Min Ho, but in this drama, they were able to pull their character through and they blended naturally making the whole series something worthy for viewers to look forward on every episode.  No wonder, i have watched it twice already.

Korean Hallyu Spotlight – Kim Ha Neul

October 21, 2012 in Actor/Actress Profile, Korean Drama

Kim Ha Neul

Blessed with beautiful skin and ooh so wonderful legs, Kim Ha Neul is another South Korean actress to watch for.  Although, i haven’t heard of her before, I only came to know how good she is on her latest Kdrama “A gentleman’s dignity” but before that, she had starred in numerous films and television drama since she started her career in 1998.

Considered as Queen of Romantic-comedies, her portrayal in 2011 “You’re my Pet” and 2004 “Too Beautiful to Lie”, makes me more interested about this ooh, sexy lady.

Her portrayal on 2011 movie “Blind” created a different impression and confirmed that she is one good actress that can portray different roles given to her. No wonder she won two best actress award (Grand Bell and Blue Dragon Film Awards) for this movie.

She has also done several modelling and endorsements.

At this time, i have watched four of her works but i am looking forward on watching her other movies and television drama .
