The Avengers “Marvel’s Best”
May 5, 2012 in Featured Post, Movie Review, Movies
Just like millions of die hard Marvel fans. I would not let this great movie to pass by.
Before this movie was shown, preparations have been laid along the way. Five movie installment featuring the different hero of The Avengers have previously shown, Iron Man (2008), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011) andCaptain America: The First Avenger (2011). In the four movies you can see Nick Fury trying to enlist in his SHIELD organization the main lead.
Although, i’m not a real fan of “The Avengers”, (i prefer X-men which happens to be another work of Marvel) i must say that the movie indeed impressed me in some ways.
The Avengers also known as Marvel Avengers Assemble stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans,Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Cobie Smulders. The movie shows Nick Fury recruiting Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America to form a team that must stop Thor’s brother Loki from enslaving the human race.
The movie starts with Loki taking the Tesseract, and uses his abilities to control the minds of several S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel including agent Clint Barton(Hawk Eye) and physicist consultant Dr. Erik Selvig to aid him to open the gate for the alien conqueror who, in exchange for the Tesseract, offers Loki an army of the alien race called the Chitauri in order for him to subjugate Earth.?
The movie shows how “The Avengers” was formed beginning with the usual cat and dog arguments of the main lead with the death of Coulson, Fury used this event to motivate the team to work as one.
Earning a 96% , an average of 8/10 at Rotten Tomatoes.com, this movie was indeed a must see for all ages. The average comic story was well compensated with witty dialogues and a script that will make you laugh, marvel and understand the whole essence of the movie.
The movie gives a well balance presentation for each super hero, giving them a due credit which each character do deserves. The cinematography was indeed amazing thus even a non-die hard comic fan like me would love and be charmed.
As enormous as the production might be, the appeal of the ensemble cast was indeed marvelous and I could not get enough of them. When i watched Captain America’s (Chris Evans) initial movie, i thought that his story was indeed not as I expected it to be (i even commented that it’s good that i haven’t watched it in the big screen as it would be a waste of money, it’s not that i don’t like the actor but it just doesn’t meet my expectation). But in this movie, i felt that he was a different super hero, a true leader in a sense and a mighty one to sum it all. (Chris Evans who happens to portray Human Torch in Fantastic Four 2005 and 2007 is signed up to have 2 sequels for Captain America)
Chris Hemsworth, (older brother of Liam Hemsworth) who plays Thor in the movie was too handsome for you not to notice. His next movie “Snow white and the huntsman” would surely be in my list of movie to watch.
Tony Stark’s better known as Iron Man portrayed by Robert Downey, Jr gives justice to the movie, giving his signature playboy appeal and a wit and expertise for the cause.
I have no idea why Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) Scarlett Johansson character was in the movie considering that in the comic version she came rather late. Scarlet witch or The wasp should have entered first but i don’t know why they were not included (maybe on the next part perhaps).
Hulk portrayal in this movie made the biggest impression on me. I don’t know if they just intended it to be funny and witty but it does caught the eye of not just me but most of the moviegoers. For an instant, his dramatic entrance on a rugged motorcycle while in the middle of a super hero /alien war is just too promising and just like when he suddenly punch Thor to give him the sign that he was indeed the mighty one after all. Just i don’t know why suddenly he knows how to control his power but that would be another story, i guess.
What i love most is the battle which occupies most of the film’s final half hour which the different marvel heroes talents works hand in hand. In addition to Iron Man sacrificing himself going to the outer space to deal with the missile while Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) holding a high-tech bow and arrow shows his prolific talent and strength.
The Avengers” was done with style, humor and a movie worth waiting and just like everybody who watches the movie, “i could not wait for the next installment” which news says would happen in 2014. Joss Whedon deserves a double thumbs up!

it was really great! i cant wait for the next part!
